Why we built this

Most people can't tell if a mark on their screen is a defect or just how the panel normally behaves. Manufacturer support pages often deflect instead of explaining, and the testing tools that already exist either cover one problem narrowly, so you end up visiting three or four different sites, or bury nine tests behind a wall of options with no guidance on what the result actually means.

ScreenInspect exists to close that gap: run the right test fast, then get a straight answer — keep it or return it — instead of more uncertainty.

How we test

Every test runs locally, right in your browser. We never see your device, your results, or any data about you — nothing is uploaded, and there's no account to create in the first place. That matters because you're often using this to make a real decision, like whether to return a phone you just paid for, and you shouldn't have to hand over your data to get an honest answer.

What we don't do

ScreenInspect diagnoses problems; it doesn't fix them. If a test confirms a genuine hardware defect, use the result to decide whether to pursue a return, an exchange, or a repair — the test itself won't do any of those things for you. We also don't sell a "pro" upsell or route you through paid guided help to get an answer. Every test is free, with no signup and no paid tier.

Ready to check your screen?

If you already know what you're seeing, run the relevant test directly. If you're not sure what you're looking at, start with what you see and we'll route you to the right one.
